Network/sharing problems with TS-TGL

exact model number is TS2.0TGL/R5

firmware version is 1.03

 

I have been using this TS for ages to store p2p files and outlook mail files (.pst). 

 

Since I reinstalled Windows XP SP3, some of the following problems occur after *some time* (usually in 12 to 48 hours intervals:

 

- I lose network connectivity (LAN and Internet over LAN)

- Windows will say "insufficient resources for doing X or Y"

- File XY on the terastation cannot be accessed

- Network folders disconnect or cannot be accessed (invalid location)

- Windows runs out of memory

 

Remedies:

-> if Windows runs out of resources, I have to reboot Windows

-> if files or folders become unaccessible, I have to restart the Terastation

 

This only happens since I reinstalled Windows, and sometimes the computer has the problem and/or sometimes the Terastation.

 

It looks like there is a windows networking related memory leak somewhere.

 

I know there is a firmware ver. 1.04, but I could not find any details on what has been changed in that version, except that it adds Active Directory support.

If LAN-networking mechanics have not been changed, there is no point in telling me to upgrade the firmware.

oh, and I should add that I installed utilities that check the system's resources, as well as how much resources individual processes use - without result!

The system resources appear normal, and at the same time windows says it ran out of network resources or out of memory!
