Is there anyone out there that has been able to connect to their Linkstation from the Internet via FTP.

 

My Web access work fine, but hate that ONE file at a time restriction.

 

With FTP, you can copy complete Subdirectories, sure would be nice.

 

Have ports 20,21 & 9000 open in both directions, still no luck.

 

Using FileZillia, to try and access, but only gets to the NAS,

" waiting for welcome screen."

 

Have all FTP check marks clicked on NAS.

 

Tried Internet access via Modem IP 68.224.xxxxand 

in house access via local IP 192.168.1.3.

 

Again BOTH IP's work for WEB Access but not FTP.

 

Even UNPLUGED the NAS, to see if I get a different message from FTP,

yes it does, a could not connect vs waiting for welcome.

 

Any ideas?

This is the second thread on the same subject within 24 hours.  I suggest sticking to one thread to get all your coherent answers in one place, rather than disjointed answers spread across two threads.

 

Port 9000 has nothing to do with FTP.

 

I use FTP on my LinkStation Live all the time. 

 

You mention that you have several ports open in both directions, but are they set to forward to the LinkStation for Port 21?

Also, you mentioned that your LinkStation is on 192.168.1.3 within your local area network. That's a strange coincidence; it happens to be the IP address I use for mine, and the one I happened to mention in my response post in your other thread.  Are you sure your LinkStation is at 192.168.1.3, or are you just assuming that number because I used it in one of my replies in your other thread?
