Hello all,
My linkstation just went into emergency mode and I am trying to get it functioning again.  I have searched the forums and have followed the steps to force update, however when I use the Linkstation Series Updater I get the error "Format Failed Update Aborted" similar to the last guy in this post.  Any advice on how to resolve this, thanks!

Edit: IP address for the linkstation is 10.0.0.11
IP address for the comp running the LS updater is 10.0.0.3 if this makes any difference.

I have also tried disabling windows firewall to no avail.

modify the LSUpdater.ini and try again

VersionCheck = 0
NoFormatting = 0

[SpecialFlags]
Debug = 1

from 9. Die LSUpdater.ini nach folgendem Beispiel anpassen:

I have tried it with the settings above (I usually kept NoFormatting as a 1 due to fears it would erase data, but even as a 0 i still get the same error.)  I am really hoping I will be able to get this up and running and recover the data, thanks!
