Error message adding AD account to share

I have a 5410D NAS

  • It is joined to AD
  • I can create a share
  • I can add local accounts to the share for access
  • When try to add an AD user or group to the share, this error message appears

those characters are already in use or have been reserved by the system

How can I fix this?

What is the username of the account you're trying to add? What FW version is on the NAS?
