CR2 file types will not copy properly

I'm new to this but set up  a new LinkStation 220D 4 tb and copied canon files to drive. CR2 files came up with comment " not all data will be copied" but file names were copied. Files would then not open as file type not compatible. Surely something is wrong or can I not copy CR2 files ( canon raw format)

This seems to have sorted itself out after a complete zeros reformatting.
