Windows Server 2008 permission denied the request is not supported

   I may be confusing things.  I am really just interested in user authentication via a domain controller. It works for all OS I have tried. Only Win server 2008 fails to authenticate when using the remote authentication via domain controller.

Thats what I figured you were confusing.  That option just uses the server as the authentication server.  It appears that the Quad does not support active directory (with 2008) with that feature.
