I recently upgraded to and LS520DN as my network storage. I work directly from this NAS on my MacBook. When I open a file from the AFP share in Adobe illustrator and save as to the NAS it is not visible via the AFP share. If I mount the SMB share the files are there.

I've tried unmounting the AFP share and remounting it but the files still do not show up on AFP. If I copy a file to the AFP share from finder, everything is fine. It's only when the files is saved from an application that this behavior occurs.

Has anyone else seen this? I would prefer to work from the AFP share as it's simply faster on the Mac. (Still)

I've used a Buffalo NAS for many years with Macs but this one does not seem to play well with OS X 10.12 at all.
