Just curious what can I do with the USB ports on these Terrastations.

My old TS-XEL looks like I can add two USB drives to it.  Can I create a mirror array with these USB Drives?  Can I use a couple of 8 TB USB drives and create a 8 TB mirror?

What about my new TS1400D.  Can I do the same thing?   Is it possible to hook up a USB 3.0 HUB and add say four 8 TB drives and setup a raid 5 using the USB Drives?  Mirroring?

Thanks,

Eastmarch

You can certainly add a number of drives. But you cannot create a RAID array with them.
**A single copy of data, even on a RAID array, is NOT a backup! Hard drive failure is not a question of IF, but WHEN! Don't take my word for it, take Google's!**
