Unable to see data?

I have a Linkstation I set up awhile ago and after awhile I  forgot my admin password. So I reset the admin password.
After reset everything seems ok (drives mount) but one shared folder does not show anything in it. Meaning it looks like an empty folder. But I know stuff was there. Also if I get info on the folder it says there is 500GB plus of data is in it. I just can't see the data. I have tried everything including enabling invisible folders and viewing it in a terminal. It also says it is owned by "unknown" user and I can't change the owner or add anyone because it says I don't "have permission" to change any permissions. Any ideas?

Thanks!
