WebAccess - incorrect example given by setup screen
« on: November 11, 2016, 11:31:39 PM »
I just got WebAccess working, but there is an obvious problem in the information presented by the tool.  Basically, when you go through the process as described in the documentation, using the 'advanced' option, the example url uses the INTERNAL port, not the external port.

I can't seem to attach a screen shot, so all I can say is, I left the default internal port at 9000, set the external port to 8082, and the 'WebAccess URL' was shown as https://(my home address).com:9000, when it should have shown: https://(my home address).com:8082.

If you are on your internal network it will revert to the internal port number. If you are external the it will point to the external port.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
Having network issues? Drop me an email: info@interwebnetworks.com and we will get it fixed!

Ah, I can see how that would happen, but it seems counter-productive since most people are likely to set up web access from 'inside', but later want to use it from 'outside', and logic would suggest you should note down what the example screen is telling you!  I just think this could trip up a lot of less experienced users.
