Linkstation allowing access without credentials

I have an old Linkstation Live (LS-CHL). I've noticed that it's allowing read/write access to the share without requiring credentials. Any device on the network can go right in and it never requests a username/password. I guess it's been this way for a while, but a new living situation has led me to tighten up my security.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this and how to fix it? I'm pretty sure that the Linkstation is supposed to require user accounts and credentials by default, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks!

Take a look at this. The interface may be slightly different but the concepts are the same. You may need to also create users/groups to define things a little more.

Thanks for your help, guys. Setting up access restrictions solved the problem. I didn't realize that the Linkstation wouldn't ask for the username/passwords I created unless I also set up access restrictions. Makes sense, I guess.
