I have a HD-HB300U2 external USB drive that I have been using with my Windows Vista based machien for a while.  Suddenly the drive has stopped working - it is no longer accessible.  Windows Vista seems to to not be able to load its drivers anymore.

How can I get updated drivers for this model for WIndows Vista?  This model seesm to be discontinued and I cannot find a way to download the latest drivers for it.

Thanks.

Drivers can be downloaded from here.

Choose your model.

It seems that the only drivers are for Win98 and not for Vista as Vista can detect this unit automatically.]

I have a HD-HB250U2 and suddenly it was not working so I had to opened it up.

It seems that the internal hdd was faulty, i then had it replaced with a 750gb IDE HDD and it has been working ever since.

Another thing to look out for is the power adapter that it comes with.

It might not be your drive and maybe the power adapter has become faulty, thus your HD-HB300U2 cannot be powered on.

Thanks for your help. I hope my hard drive is intact because I had a lot of data on it :-(
