Hi!
I have two Terastations, a TS4800D with six 6TB WD Red Drives in a Raid 5 Matris and a TS4400D with four 4TB Seagate Enterprise NAS drives, also in a Raid 5 matris.

Both of these are configured as two seperate iSCSi drives and mounted on a home server which I use for storage. The larger one of the two is filled with about 11TB of priceless data with a huge sentimental value. The other NAS is also filled with about 8TB of content, but not as important as the other one.

With the configuration and importance explained, let me get to the problem.

I decided to upgrade the firmware. On both of them. At the same time...
I upgraded to firmware version: 3.20-0.15 on both.
After the upgrade was completed both of the NAS devices displayed errors during the boot up. Broken Raid array!!

When I check the status of the Raid it says "Failed". When I look at the iSCSi it shows nothing, of course..

I'm really desperate, I really need to get at least the important one fixed and restored to previous state, as it was before the firmware upgrade.

Is it normal to get broken raid arrays and complete data loss during firmware upgrades?

Please advice, what can I do?

Very unusual, restore one of the units via the admin page, management - restore.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
