Shared Folder Access Restrictions not being kept

Hi everyone!

Been having an issue recently with our TeraStation Pro TS-HTGL/R5 (latest FW, v1.35).
It is domain joined with all the right information, but when I try to give a domain group access rights to a shared folder, once I click on Apply, the group changes completely.
The security group's name (in the GUI) is "SIDLEE+sg.slmtl.it.service_desk(DOMAIN)". If I bump it to Read / Write, and click on Apply, the group gets changed to SIDLEE(DOMAIN), even though I get confirmation that the settings have been successfully changed.
Might there be something wrong with the access rights in the AD configuration on the TeraStation ?
By what I understand, SIDLEE(DOMAIN) would be all user accounts of the domain tree haven access...but I can't access it with my domain account.

Did I do something wrong somewhere ?

Thanks in advance for the help! :)

Bump, since I got no answer.

Can someone help me in regards to this ?

Thanks!

That unit is two generations old, so it's very long in the tooth, and a bit before my time at Buffalo.

does this KB article look to be about the same setup fields in the UI? I know the UI is different, but is it basically the same entries?

**A single copy of data, even on a RAID array, is NOT a backup! Hard drive failure is not a question of IF, but WHEN! Don't take my word for it, take Google's!**

Hi Easymarch,

Sorry for the ultra-late reply, I never got an email saying you had replied.

The article you pointed to refers to issues with actually joining to the domain. This is not an issue on my part, the domain joining worked fine.

The issue I am having is that when I try to configure a shared folder so that a Domain security group has access to it, it does not keep my changes and reverts to default access rights.
