LS421DE died

I changed the drives in my LS421DE and it has quit working even if I reinstall the original drives.

Now when I turn it on the power light will flash for about a minute and then the function light blinks red seven times, takes a short break and then flashes seven more times.

MAS Navigator 2 cannot see the device, so I assume that it is not on the network.

This Linkstation was on line for over 3.5 years and I needed to increase the size of the drives.  Backed up everything, changed the drives and nothing.

Chapter 10 of the manual has the error code list but the seven flashes is supposed to only relate to the power light.  If it is the power light the error code says it is a firmware error and to contact
Tech Support.  I contacted them and they were not able to help.

PM me for the recovery image.

Hi. I'm new here. I got the same problem (led flashing 7 times after boot). I upgraded the firmware to 1.81, but after read about various problems i tried to downgrade to 1.34. Everything was fine during the upgrade process and then i got the message "NAS is rebooting". After that message (on the upgrader program), nothing. I got the led flashing 7 times. Nas is unreachable on the net. The disk on the nas was a Wd Blue on the compatibility list (500 gb hard drive). What is the correct procedure to recovery the nas at least to 1.81 firmware? Is there a Usb recovery tool? Thank you.

You make reset settings to factory/default? There is speculation that the operation would lead to a violation of the integrity of the firmware 1.80 / 1.81.
