Just successfully finished the 1.71 firmware update through the linkstation url GUI (maintenance, firmware installation) option.

The NAS is running extremely slow now ever since the 1.71 firmware update. Even loading the LS-VL7B8 url takes almost a minute to load the page. Nas disk is only 60% used.
A file transfer is unrealistically slow ever since the update, for example a 1MB pdf takes almost 5 minutes to upload over a wired gigabit connection. Before the update wouldn't take more than 10 seconds.

Please Help !

Might be a sign of a failing disk, backup the data and then reset the link station via the settings page.
