Hi,

I have some ideas (wishes) for future development - feel free to ad your own :)

1) Login option to bittorrent page

2) Small webserver capability

3) Bittorrent encryption (i think someone else already mentioned this on this forum)

Kind regards

 - Kasper

Nice wishlist - any other feature requests?

Pottypotsworth

How about the ability to recognize USB hard discs without having to reformat them on the linkstation?

And also a function in the web interface which allows you to copy data directly from USB disks and gives a visual indicator without having to use the broken 'direct copy' function button which never works?

Oh, and one button firmware update in the admin interface, you know, like almost every cable modem/router and such out there?

Thought of one more :)

A download manager (not torrents)

jraatjes

How about a better mediaserver like Swisscenter/simese (www.swisscenter.co.uk)

Thank you for the wishlists - I'm sending them all to our engineers in Japan. Please keep the suggestions coming.

How about for the LS-XHL

bit torrent - remembers settings

bit torrent - can disable allowing uploads on currently downloading torrents

pdunlop

A simple download scheduler for the Bittorrent client would be useful - could set downloads to happen in 'Off peak' times that way.

robsonch

In Bittorrent I would recommend also option to select which itens download from one torrent file! :-)

I agree that a web server is cool. I have several cases where I would like other devices to access files using the HTTP protocol.

Also, a DHCP server would be nice. I realize that routers provide this functionality, but the router I am using does not allow me to assign fixed IP addresses through DHCP and I have not choice but to use the current router as it also has an IPv6 DHCP function. Buffalo, you have all the knowledge on DHCP as it is in your routers as well; it should be easy to add it the linkstation as well.

Hmmm, the LinkStation allows you to configure a static IP......

My wish is for LS Pro Duo actually: an eMAIL(SMTP) server as you can find in other NASes.

Regards,

    Miran C.

I second the SMTP server suggestion :)
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

I'm glad to see that my initial (small) efforts paid off - it seems that Buffalo has started some dedicated threads where creative ideas and feature suggestions can be added. So I suggest that you use their threads instead of this one.

this thread is still good for the LS-CHL wishlist. I just added the others to give everyone else a place for being heard.

We very much appreciate this thread - I've sent a lot of good requests off to Japan and those requests are being looked at with interest by the engineers.
