I have a newly formatted LS-QVL Linkstation that will not share folders.  I have a folder set up named Share, it has Read/Write priveledges and Supports Windows.  If I try to map the drive either through the NAS Navigator or through Windows both fail with a message that the share name does not exist.

Any idea?

Thanks,
Brian

Verify that the SMB service is turned on in the advanced settings. It should be on by default, but you never know.

I don't see an Advanced option or a SMB feature

Still have not solved this problem.  Does anyone else have any ideas why the NAS will not share a folder?

Lots of networking questions to be answered. Does it show up in NAS Navigator?

can you connect to it with \\NASname\sharename?  How about with \\NASIP\sharename?  What happens when you go to \\NASIP?
