An HD-H250LAN that constantly disconnects

   LinkStation HD-H250LAN.

I can hardly go ten minutes without my computers being unable to find the LinkStation. For example, I can open a file from the LinkStation, then five minutes later the drive can't be found. Sometimes I'll get a "Login failure" message, with something about an invalid user name or password. But other times, Windows Explorer might say the drive is disconnected, and no applications can find the drive.

This sounds like a firmware issue. I would try updating to the lastest firmware and mapping the network drive.

UPDATE: Found in POST 659 that H400LAN firmware can be used with H250LAN.

Can you direct us the location for the HD-H250LAN Firmware download site? I looked through all the downloads and the closes I came was the HD-H400LAN. I did not see any listing for the HD-H250LAN page.

Thanks

You can also try setting a static ip address on the unit, if its currently running DHCP
