Does anyone have LinkStation doing sync with Windows always available offline?

Windows 7 Pro offers the ability to map network drives and sync to work offline (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/working-with-network-files-offline#1TC=windows-7).
It is a good laptop/backup solution so I can backup on the NAS yet work with the files on my laptop anywhere.

Shifting from a work NAS to my LinkStation Pro Duo 4TB LS-WVL there is a problem.
"Normal" Windows network mapped drives work well.
I can also create an "Always available" mapped network drive and it does the initial synchronizations.
The problem is on subsequent synchronizations I get the error  "Access is denied".
The LinkStation folder does NOT have access restrictions.

Is anyone using this capability?  successfully?

Thank you
