Linkstation Backup Compatibility

The LS-QVL Linkstation Backup function has worked very well for me - I have three units setup to backup to each other on different days.

I am thinking about adding a new unit. Are the Backup functions in my existing LS-QVL compatible with later Linkstations such as the 4xx series? How about compatibility with the new Terrastation 3400 and 1400?
