DLNA not working on Linkstation LS421DE-EU (no response received from NAS)

I've been trying to set up DLNA on a new Linkstation LS421DE-EU.

However, the DLNA server is not starting up and is not visible to any devices on the network.

The configuration page sometimes says DLNA is 'On' but status is 'Not started'.

If I toggle DLNA 'On' and 'Off' the status will sometimes change to 'Enabled' but the server is still not visible on the network.

If I try to access 'Advanced DLNA settings' -> 'DLNA Client Access Permissions' I get an error 'A system error occurred' and this will log me out of the NAS Configuration site until I restart the NAS.

If I go to 'DLNA Settings' and try to 'Initialise the datebase' I get an error 'No Response Received from the NAS'

Other things I've checked or tried:

The hard drive has installed ok and I've copied media files on to it successfully.

The firmware has also been updated to 1.81.

I've tried a Factory reset on the NAS (without deleting files) a couple of times.

Also checked DLNA is 'ticked' in the LAN Protocol Support section of Folder setup.

Is the NAS faulty? Does anyone have other suggestions of things to try?

Thanks!
