I had this before recently (April 06), where the NAS NAV reported to "E30-replace drive immediately", but after formatting the raid and restarting through the web interface the unit has behaved and no more warnings have appeared.. and it is working fine so far..

now the same conflicting messages are happening for another NAS unit (of the same type LS-WXL) this one has also had both its drives replaced within the last couple of years..

Hi there
it says disk 1 the same as the previous message earlier on the other NAS..
is that significant..?

Rebuild the RAID, if its still showing an error on the disk after this then replace the disk.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

Doubtful, one of the disk is failing and probably will. Ensure you keep a backup.

update..
NasNavi2 is now reporting "E30 disk 2 should be replaced immediately".. but the web interface is saying everything is okay..
before it was disk 1 that had the E30 message..

OMG.. setting that up is another "can of worms" that i have avoided thus far...
do the emails it sends give more details than the flashing led's..?

You will get a report everyday that will tell you if your drives have any errors and other emails like power up, so far and so on. Its worth it honestly. Its not hard to setup just need to enter some settings and maybe port forwarding but that doesn't always need it. Just depends on how needy your router is.

[DISK error status]
  DISK1  0
  DISK2  5

If its flashing 3 times, Its most likely a E30 vs a E03, E30 means a bad disk, most likely disk 2, E03 means RTC Errors, I am siding more with the E30, So replaced disk 2 and see what happens.
