[HOWTO] Completely recover a "bricked" LS200-series (and open the firmware too!)

Hi all,

I recently found myself in a predicament where I'd "bricked" (term used loosely) my LinkStation LS220 NAS.

I have written a comprehensive guide on how to completely recover from a situation like this, starting with wiping the disks to TFTP Booting to flashing an open firmware with SSH, Telnet, root access, etc.
