I have the Buffalo Link Station LS-CH500L. I have enabled FTP access and set up the correct port forwarding in my router. The main issue I have is when I connect to the FTP site from a server at work it will work fine. All of a sudden, mid transfer it will start timing out. I have checked, and rechecked all my settings. The IP address of the NAS is not in the DHCP range of my router.

Has anyone else experienced issues like this? How did you fix/circumvent them? I really need the FTP to work 100% of the time, as the files I transfer are very important to the work I do, and having to wait about 20 minutes before I can reconnect is not acceptable.

I use dyndns.org to direct filezilla to my home network and then my NAS.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've found a work around. WinSCP does the trick. Filezilla and Windows Explorer still time out. I tried using multiple Filezilla versions.

Help to adjust server and WinSCP if it is possible on steps.

In advance thanks.
