LinkStatis Pro Duo with 3.09 firmware periodically loses Web Access Settings

I have set the settings on my LinkStation Pro Duo Firmware version 3.09 to activate the Web Access Services and saved the changes.  The changes become active and I can browse via the web.

 

After a period of time (I haven't narrowed down how long) the LinkStation will drop the Web Access Services and change the services to disabled.  The one thing that is consistent is that it always happens, just not sure exactly how long it takes.  I have tried enabling the web access services via BuffaloNAS.com as well as via DNS Hostname.  This makes no difference, the service still gets turned off after a period of time.

 

If there a fix for this problem?

   Do any other settings change or is it just web access?  Such things as IP address, psswords, workgroup or Active directory?

I don't think settings outside of the Web Access Settings change.  Not IP or anything.  The only other thing noticeable is that the permissions (I choose to "Use Inherited Folder Permissions" on several shared folders)  all but one is lost when I turn on the Web Access again.  After this happens and I re-enable Web Access shared folder show up as Disabled. Except for one shared folder that one stays.

   It sounds like you could have corrupted firmware.  I would try a force firmware flash.  The directions for doing the force firmware flash is in the stickied post of FAQ(2 of 3).  Follow those steps and see if that resolves the issue.

I would advise flashing down to 3.07.

 

It seems that 3.09 have a few bugs in it still.
