Does Buffalo know some states don't use daylight savings ?

I set my ls-chl 1tb with firmware 1.07 to gmt -7 and it is one hour off for Arizona. Arizona does not use day light savings.

Any way I can disable this ? Did I miss something ? When I set it to gmt-8 it shows the right time. This isn't correct since Arizona is at mountain standard time (no dst)

These devices are not able to recognize DST nor automatically adjust for it. For those users in areas that are currently under DST will have to offset their GMT by 1 hour (i.e. New York is GMT -4 instead of GMT -5). Conversely, these devices will have to be set back to Standard Time when it is in effect. If you're having timestamp issues I would suggest checking your computer's time settings in order to determine what GMT the LinkStation will need to be set for.

I've requested that an option for setting Daylight Savings Time be implemented in future firmware, across the product lines.

You can set the correct time zone manually by logging in as root and linking

/etc/localtime to the correct time zone file in /usr/share/zoneinfo - for example,I set mine to Eastern time with:

ln -sf /usr/share/zoneinfo/EST5EDT /etc/localtime

If you use the web gui to make any changes to the time, you will have to set this again.
