Hi,

I have had to replace both drives in my Buffalo Linkstation Duo LS-WXL. I installed the drives and it now has 6 Red Flashes and has disappeared from Nas Navigator. I read about running the firmware update, but this also can't discover the NAS on the network. I have also tried a X-Over cable and plugged it directly in to both Mac and PC and get the same result... Zip, nothing, zero...

There seems to be some indication about doing a TFTP boot, which i found and ran, but it didn't seem to do much and i had no instructions to follow.

I am two steps away from throwing it in the bin (or out of the window as stress relief) and never using buffalo again. I have Zyxel and Synology NAS's elsewhere and they have been a breeze by comparison.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

So this nas does not have the OS in a ROM chip. There on the disk so that's why its not working. If you search for TFTP on the forums there is a set of instructions on what to do.
