   Can this unit be made to spin down? - I can't figure it - think the drive is great but no spin down is extremely annoying!

No there is not a disk spin down function unfortunately, only an auto power down feature.

   Does the Linkstation mini have disk spin down - i'm looking for a near silent solution. Thanks Mark
