I've been trying for a few weeks to get Web Access working on my Buffalo LS-WX2.0TL/R1 NAS, (firmware 1.56), but without success.
I have set up my router NAT to open port 9000 (internal and external) for TCP and UDP pointing to my internal NAS IP address.

I have tried all combinations of UPnP on both router and NAS.

My NAS is NOT DHCP served and has its DNS and Gateway pointing to the router.

If I use a browser to go to http://buffalonas.com I sucessfully get to the Buffalo WebAccess page.

When I try to set up WebAccess on the NAS in either "Easy WebAccess Settings" or "Advanced WebAccess Settings" I notice that the WebAccess URL: is missing in "Easy WebAccess Settings" and blank in "Advanced WebAccess Settings".

Is there some place in the configuration where I need to define the site or, as I would guess, the NAS obtains the address via the router's DNS just as my browser does?

You need to actually set it up on the linkstation, by the sounds of it you haven't created a buffalonas.com name yet.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

Thanks Davo,

I've searched around and I can't find how to create a buffalonas.com name.
All the palces I search in tell me that I can create a name during the NAS WebAccess setup but just entering a name/password will require the NAS to pass that on to the buffalonas.com server. That server name does not appear on the setup screen as the documentation says it should.

Do I need to log-in somewhere on the buffalotech.com site and register?

I didn't set up this NAS originally and I don't know if the original tech guy created a name. There was no indication of a name when I went into the NAS WebAccess configuration.

Attached is a screen-shot of the "Easy Setup"

How should I proceed from here?

Thanks in advance.
