Can the RAM in the TeraStations be upgraded; if so, what would be the maximum RAM for the 5200 WSS series?

davo

Technically not supported but physically possible. It only has 1 RAM slot, max 4GB DDR3. Easily changed.

Theoretically then, what would be the largest size module the 5200 motherboards could recognize?

New to TerrorStations so pardon the questions.

Anyone know if *unofficially* the TS-8VHL will support 3rd party memory and total capacity and # of slots?

I would like to install either FreeNAS , Openmediavault or Openfiler on it . The stock image leaves a lot to be desired for me and I prefer a more open environment. I am aware the Atom 520 is not going to win any contests in processing but should be ok?

I would like to set it up as a subversion and glorified LAMP machine. Any help would be appreciated.
