external stopped working

   i wasnt doing anything out of the ordinary, surfing the internet actually, but all of the sudden the hard drive unplugs and replugs (without actually doing so, just made the unplug and repug sound) and i couldnt access my hard drive anymore. i tried differant usb ports, and even on another computer, but it doesnt seem to work. the hard drive itself now makes a *click* sound once in a while, and it leads me to believe its a problem with the hard drive itself. please help!

   oh and its particularly new, around a month or two, and i dont abuse it or anything like that

   my hard drive is currently at my work place, so ill try to get it next time i go. i tried figuring out whats wrong with it and i belive its broken.
