LS-WX4.0 stuck on loading gif when trying to access settings

Hi there,

I have an LS-WX4.0TL/R1 running firmware 1.68.

I've got it set up with a RAID 1 array.

However I'm having problems accessing the admin pages consistently. When I try to access http://{ip address}/static/index.html I just get the loading gif spinning but it never continues on to the login page. I've tried in Chrome, IE and Firefox and it happens on each. I have been able to log in at times, but now I seem to be completely locked out. I'm not transferring anything over just now.

Thanks

I have a similar problem, with the identical set up as yourself, try to access settings and it hangs trying to open the page. The only way to gain access via settings again I found is to reboot the NAS.

I'm also experiencing a timeout issue when trying to access the Web Server page when I do eventually get into the settings.

I was also having this issue whilst doing a backup to external drive. After 4 days, I contacted their UK support team and was basically told to pull the plug. When I queried why I couldn't access the Admin screen during the backup, he tried to blame it on the external drive as being faulty. It was working fine for six months and was still working perfectly when I ran the Seagate diagnostics on it. I've now replaced mine with a LS421, but not so sure this was a wise move either.

Got to the bottom of these in the end.. Opening the admin screens was as simple as using Internet Explorer rather than Firefox.
The web Server was a case of switching off uPNP .. most have been a port conflict somewhere
