Hi this may be a stupid question but i usually use my mini Nas connected via the ethernet connection to move files from my macbook pro on to the hard drive, but wanted to know if i can use the usb connection for the same thing or if that is just for connecting other hard drives etc to the Nas. Hope this makes sense. Thanks.

Anyone tell me if this is possible or not? Thanks

Also if not is there any settings i can change for the ethernet connection to work quicker? As when i carry out tasks with my back up usb drives it is so much quicker to moves files about than with the Nas connected via ethernet im using a macbook pro with the 10/100/1000Base T ethernet card. Thanks

The Drivestation Flexnet is the only product that we have that will work directly attached to a computer via USB. The other NAS products will only work over ethernet.

You can try enabling Jumbo Frames on the NAS in the Network section of the Web Interface, this may increase performance.
