Hello everyone,

First time posting, I researched current topics and did not find anything to suit my situation.

I first noticed an issue when I tried to restore my wife's Macbook pro overnight from the NAS; However, when I woke up the next morning I noticed it did not complete. The NAS was flashing code for array repair. Assuming Raid1 4TB can take a day or so, I left alone. Day three I noticed the code still displaying and lost access via browser and local drive access. I powered off the system and let it power-off it's self. Next day it was still running in off mode. As I moved the NAS from the wall to insure the switch was set to off, apparently it unplugged and shut the unit off. Upon powering it back on it displayed a firmware issue code. I called Buffalo and the poor guy was having to read from scripts to assist me, in which I fulfilled with him knowing the resulting end. At this point I borrowed a Windoze machine to utilize a software UFS Explorer. Both drives are indicating 1.82TB of unallocated space. Which ironically is what the amount information displayed last review of the NAS.

I have 7 years of mine and my Son's photos in these mirrored drives, any assistance in repairing our priceless information would be much appreciated. May be enough to personally take a trip to give a personal hug to whomever can fix this!!
