I've seen several posts about upgrading drives, e.g. from 4x250GB to 4x1TB.  I want to do the opposite.  Seems like I should be able to delete any RAID configuration, then swap the drives 1 at a time.  Does the buffalo OS live on something other than the 4 HDDs, which would support such an approach?  Anybody ever try this?

thanks!

As in the other posts, you can replace the drives, run the TFTP Boot Recovery, then flash the firmware. As always, this will void your warranty and we may not be able to help if it doesn't work.
