I have a terastation TS-RXL that I need to reboot every week just to get the write speeds back to par. Even the web interface is slow until I reboot the thing twice. Then its OK for a little while but then gets so slow that my backups to it take way too long. Dont know what is going on with it. Nothing odd in the logs, Raid 5 is healthy and it says that it has the latest firmware of 1.59 . Ive checked my switch and the ports look good with no errors on it. Has anyone ever had this issue before and if so what was your solution?? Thanks in advance.

I would update to the latest version which is below and then factory reset your unit. this will veto out any software issues. if it continues afterwards it probably a hardware issue with the PSU.

Firmware 1.62 Download

Thanks for the reply. I will try that. I assumed 1.59 was the latest since it says that when I use the interface to check for updates. Also will a factory reset wipe the Raid array and the data along with it? I cant lose anything on it.

Resetting it via the admin page will not erase any data on the unit however you should have a backup at all times.
