time machine on LS gets afp error after mavericks update

Hi,

after upgrade to Mac OS 10.9 Mavericks, the time machine backup on my Linkstation WX is not working any longer.
I got an error that the backup volume does not support AFP.

It has worked before under snow leopard (10.6.8).

Any ideas?

What firmware? Since the issue is only occurring since you updated to Mavericks have you thought about contacting Apple support?

Hello! I am also having the same AFP issue in Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks. The device I am the Administrator for is the LS-WX4.0TL/R1

I have logged into the Linkstation's admin interface, and checked for Firmware updates. My Linkstation is reporting that it is running the latest Firmware.

This leads me to believe that Buffalo has yet to release a firmware that is compatible with OS X 10.9's AFP.

This is very frustrating, and backups are not happening because of this incompatibility.

Is there any ETA on a new firmware?

... AFP is AFP, that hasnt change in quiet some time. 10.9 probably did something to AFP though Apple users are always quick to blame everything else but the Mac -_-,

If anything you can try to disbale afp in the LinkStation then reboot and enable and then reboot and see if that helps but if not its a Mac issue.
