LS-QL F/W 1.10

I turned on BitTorrent function... BUT... there is no authentication page.
I tried MY.IP.ADRESS:8080 from my phone, PC , outside network... and everybody can acess it and control it.

Bittorrent options in Linkstation are only:
Enable and disable
choose folder.

How do I prevent others using my torrent page ??
why cant I set a password?

please help.

Im not sure if your unit has this but on the LS-WVL, when you go to the BitTorrent client, there is a gear next to the purple arrows. when you click on it you have options to change the username/password  under [Web UI] and you can also restrict access to BitTorrent with ip address.

Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,

Wow! what you have is uTorrent on buffalo! that would be great if I had the same.
What I have is some torrent client that has no settings only import torrent files option. and there is a setting to set torrent port...

AFAIK there is no newer firmware since I remember.
Hope I can get a workaround to secure that page. Otherwise everyone can add and delete files downloaded with torrent client on my NAS.

its not utorrent, that's bittorrent that's built in on the units that have 1.65 firmware. I'm assuming you check under settings as well. if so then i would recommend getting a newer linkstation to have the control you want.

Yep, It looks same as uTorrent web interface that I"ve been using.
It is an old firmware, there is no option to get password protection for torrent web interface.
I already ordered new NAS. I was dissapointed with LS Quad. (some minor problems, very slow network speed...)

That is a old unit. Buffalo removed them from there site like 2-3 years ago i think.
