Linkstation Pro trouble after power off & on

Hello everyone,

 

I powered my correctly LS500GL off as went on a vacation for a week using the power button.

 

After I powered it back on today I received an error.

The error led kept blinking continuously and it beeped continuously (no short / long beeps / blinking).

Pressing the power button again shut down the system directly (not as usual 20 sec. or so).

 

I repeated that three times. By the fourth time the system seemed to work again.

No errors and the link LED was lit. However, I could not connect to it. I can ping it, but that's it.

NASNavigator does not discover it either. 

 

Any ideas what might help?

1. Power down the NAS
2. Hold down the RESET button on the back of the unit
3. While continuing to hold down the RESET button power the NAS back on
4. Check NAS Navi and post what you find

While pressing reset and powering on I heard a different beep.

 

Except for that nothing changed. I can see the linkstation registered at DHCP with 

192.168.1.38 LS-GL-EMAE6

and I can ping it, but NAS-Navigator, the firmware updator can not find it. HTTP and FTP do not work either.

Since the device is in Emergency Mode, you should be able to update the firmware. If the Updater can't find it, make sure you've disabled firewalls on the computer, and you have the correct firmware file for the device.
