Network/Computer will not detect TeraStation Live

Hello, I recently got a broken TeraStation Live that i am trying to fix and it has the problem off "Lost Boot Image E06" and im trying to update the firmware because i belive that it has a outdated version and to do that i need it connected to my network... I have it connected to my router/hub and when running the firmware update software it goes to searching for the Terastation Live than tells me that it couldnt find it then closes out... im not sure what to do and iv looked all over the web for a solution so now im turning to the community for help
