I had a hard drive fail, so I replace it and my Linkstation Live is starting in Emergency mode no array info.  my PC does not recognize it in my Computer but when I run NAS Navigator, it sees it and I see the IP.  When I put the IP in to my browser, it says page not found.  I have downloaded and tried running the updator but it does not find my Linkstation.  Currently, it has -------- for firmware but I can't update it since it can not been seen.
I am at a loss, not sure what to do.  I have read some of the other forum posts, but none resolve my issue.  Any thoughts?

Also, This Linkstation has been sitting for a few months before I plugged it in and found out that one of the drives went (it would not load the kernel, but after replacing a drive, it now loads it every time).

What firmware does the nas navigator report as being installed?

Nas Navigator shows ----- under Firmware.  BUT...  I can't install the firmware if it is not recognized by my PC. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/creativelook/media/NAS.jpg.html

+1. I have the exact same issue.

I've tried forcing an update but keep getting the error "Partition not found. Aborting firmware update."

Partition not found means that the partition on the unit is either corrupted or damage so the firmware cant find the partition in the drive to update. You will have to change "noformatting = 1" to "noformatting = 0" to format the drive and fix your problem. This will erase all your data in the drive though. If you have a dual bay unit. you can try powering the unit down and only booting up with drive 2 in and not drive 1. Sometimes drive one seems to be the cause of many boot problems.
Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,

I don't work for Buffalo but i do love there products enough to help people
