TS-QVHL upgraded to 1.15 firmware problems

I have a TeraStation TS-QVHL 4GB unit (TS-QVHL6D4).

It was working fine and talking to an external USB 500 GB (NTFS) used for backup. Then I upgraded to 1.15 firmware.

Now I have several strange problems:
1. Will no longer recognize the 500 GB drive. Does not even see it. I CAN get it to recognize a USB 8 GB flash drive and an external 200 GB drive.
2. It previously saw the port I'm plugging into as USB Disk 2. Now when I can get it so see a USB flash/drive it comes up as USB Disk 3.
3. NAS Navigator 2 2.33 could not find the unit. Downloaded the newest 2.63 version but same results.


My Windows mappings to the unit do work. I can also access it via the Web Admin page.

Since this unit cannot write to an NTFS USB HDD i doubt you had it working like this before, reformat it XFS via the admin page if possible. I'm assuming you have tested the USB HDD in a PC?

It WAS working previously, although the documentation says it can't talk to a NTFS.  But it seems to work anyway. I have multiple directories made by the TeraStation's backup on it and they are still visible when plugged into a PC.

Also I did a test backup to the 200 GB and that worked too.

Regarding the USB HDD, can you format it to XFS via the GUI? About the Nas navigator not finding the unit, this is always down to anti virus and/or firewall blocking the application.
