I have a linkstation LS-CH1.0 which I've had no problems with for the last three years running on comcast. I just upgraded my modem to keep up with
the new speeds comcast are runnin. They asked me if I wanted a wireless combo set for the same price( Modem/Router) all in one. I said sure to make
space around the pc which is cluttered. Now after setting up the new IP address of the Modem/Router 10.0.0.1 not 198.168.1.1 I'm having problems
getting into my linkstation. I get an error message saying (Remote Default Share is Missing). I can get into the Nas web interface with no problems
but not into the linkstation where I have tons of information saved. I'm running windows 7 home. My comcast Modem/Router is a Arris TG862
running comcast cable and phone service. I rebooted the linkstation but still the same error message.  Please help.

The Nas is showing the new IP after I rebooted it but still can't log into the linkstation. A log in screen comes up but when I try to enter a user and password
it keeps saying remote default share is missing. I looking at other fags and found that some ppl found solutions changing their NTLM security settings but it
seems you can't do that running windows 7 home, only ultimate and pro. My last resort is to go back to my old router since it was working well before I
installed this arris modem/router combo. I would like to keep it since my internet speeds are a lot faster than before. Also my firmware is v 1.60. Not sure if
there is a more updated version. The wed shows 1.60 but some faqs show ppl with 1.62. I think they have modern hardware not a linkstation. Thanks
for responding.

I had this same problem today with the same new router.  After rebooting my TeraStation HS-DH-TGL/R5 still shows the old IP address (198.162.1.30) that I assigned statically with the old router.  This address shows up on Nav 2 also, but I can't get into Tera from browser, or by connecting directly to PC.  Even reinstalled Nav2.  Already had latest firmware installed. Help?

Press and hold the reset button while its powered on to obtain a DHCP address, its under the LED display when you open the door.

Hello...
I'm having an issue with my LS-CH1.OTL having lost its Remote Share, with the message that it's
missing. I tried reinstalling software, and even bypassing the router, using the LAN port
on my XP machine, without any difference. It refuses to MAP the drive during software reinstallation.  It's 2 years old and worked fine, then had a fit. Firmware is the original from the box, which sadly I don't know the version. I tried another computer with the same fate.
I don't know if a reset exists on the hardware, but I don't see any. I tried the function key and power sequence simultaneously, as they mention, but that was useless.
How about a reset switch somewhere?

Thanks........Les
