Hello everyone,

I am trying to use my nas with an AD but nothing happend .. :/

About my AD :

Domain name : opca-hn.local

In the box i entered this :

netbios : opcareg-hn
dns : opcareg-hn.local
user : administrateur
password : ****
wins : nothing

I see the dialog box but it finished all the time with generic error message.

I have tried with computer any problem to connect to my AD with this account..

Anyone get the same problem ?

Try using the IP address of your domain controller as the DNS server. I've seen that help.

Sorry, I don't read french much beyond some basics, like 'Il fait froid! Je veux une chocolat chaud!'

And I might have even gotten that wrong.

I have try to use an IP but i can't my text is underlined in red and i can't valide it cause of unsupported characters :/

In netbios : only characters with - and _ nothing else< 23 lengh
DNS NAME : i can write everything i want, like ip or name etc.. but the result is the same :/
NAME OF AD SERVER : I can't use IP because .(dot) is forbidden


I see on my server in event logger of windows, i try to login but identification failed with any other informations, the buffalo seems to be able to join the AD server but it can't login.
I don't know what i can do, i have already check my firewall nothing is blocking.

Ps : Well done, i am happy to see another person speaking french ! :)

Chocolate is "male" ^^
I think i am doing many errors too in english ^^ (french people is often bad in english )

Few hours later ...

I made a mistake .. my firewall block me without any log --'

So, now i have any problem to join my AD after configuring well my watchguard :D
