Why is buffalonas.com refering my LS-XHL to my interal address of 192.168.73.5 rather than my external address?????

Are you using buffalonas.com from a different location as the unit or from the same? If you are still on the local network it will come up with the private IP (192.168.x.x), but if you are outside the network it will come up with the public IP address.

Different location, that's why I'm perplexed,  for some reason it seems that my nas is sending buffalonas.com my internal address rather than my external ip.  Any ideas?

All of a sudden buffalonas.com is now pointing to my external address... first it started pointing to http://myexternaladdress and then a day later to https://myexternaladdress like it was configured to do so, dunno why it changed now but it's now working, the only things thats happened is the drive has power cycled a few times now when shutting down my computer since the power button is set to the auto position...

Looks like it may have been a transient issue on the buffalonas.com server. Let us know if you have further issues.
