As upstream bandwidth in many countries are often rather limited compared to downstream, the user exprience when remote accessing your NAS content  is not very joyful! It take minutes to downlaod a mp3 file and you don't even want to think of starting a movie.

Introducing progressive download would enable the user to execute any file almost immediately, while the file is downloading in the background. This would increase the customer value of the remote access function considerbly.
