I have a TS-RI2.0TGL/R5 connected to a Windows 2003 Domain Controller using the iSCSI connector.  Whenever we reboot the machine, the TeraStation doesn't reconnect totally, and all the shares are lost.  The data is still there, but the folder sharing settings are all gone.  Is this a known issue and/or is there any fix for it?

Driftpeasant

   It's a TS-RI2.0TGL/R5 with the 1.01 firmware.

I would flash the firmware then in the software make sure you check the box log on to windows automatically

Will flashing the firmware destroy the array or the data on the array?

Paul

Firmware upgrades do not cause data loss, it is however always recommended to have a back up.

Are your drives setup as Dynamic?  I am having the same problem, and i know that M$'s iSCSI initiator has a known problem reconnecting a Dynamic disk at reboot/startup.

I will be trying this tomorrow if you also want to try it.

Fixed the issue:

http://kb.open-e.com/files/6/">http://kb.open-e.com/files/6/

use this, it puts a script in the reg and properly starts and reactivates and re-mounts your drive letter.

iSCSI works fine with DYNAMIC disks now!

However, i dont know about the share permissions since i am not using any.
