I could not find in the user manual any instructions on how to set my LS-CH1.0TL to automatically mount when I (or my wife who has a separate login) log on to our iMac.  Is this possible?  I would like the use of this as easy as possible on us, especially my wife.

Thanks for the help!

The only way that I know of is to put the Mounted Share into your "dock" in the section next to the recycling bin.

However, as far as I know OSX 10.5 does not allow this to happen and I do not know of work around.

What You need to do is go to System Preferences > Accounts  and select the tab on the top named Login items click the + sign then on shared select the NAS and then you will se the share or any other drives you can mount clik add, do not select the hide option. This will mount the drive automatically whe login in.

Also make sure you have selected the option of revela in conected servers and external disks, by going to finder > preferences and select the options above metioned.

If you do not do this you will still have the drive mounted at login, but it will not show in the desktop unitl you acces a shortcut of the drive or if you lunch an aplication that is using that drive by default.

hope this helps

One option is to create an app in Automator to conect to the server upon login.  I would insert a pause of at least 10 seconds to allow your desktop to load up first.  The as the previsous poster states, add it to you login items under accounts in the system prefs.
