Terastation Pro - duplicate names in active directory list

I've joined my Terastation Pro II (Firmware 1.23) to our Windows 2000 domain, and use active directory authentication.  This part works fine.  When I go to share a folder, and select names/groups from active directory list, there are many duplicates of names and groups.  Some names work, some don't, and give the user a not authorized error.  Where is it getting all of the duplicate names from?  There are of course no duplicate names on the server because it doesn't let you do that.

Try setting the unit back to factory defauts and join it again, if this does not work then try to force flash the firmware.
